 Thank God for the presence of Allah SWT who has bestowed His grace, taufiq and guidance so that we can complete the paper with the title "Use of adverbs" at the appointed time.

  Thank you to Mrs. Eneng Liah Khoiriah M.Pd as an English teacher who always helps her students and provides a lot of useful knowledge.

This is one of the assignments for English subjects which consists of explanations of adverbs. This is not a perfect writing so the author expects criticism and suggestions to make it better.

Hopefully this paper can be used as a reference for learning the use of adverbs.

INTRODUCTION

Issue Background

        In studying English, there are many things to be known in advance. One of them is part of the spoken word or in English is called Part of Speech. In English grammar,Parts of Speech are classified into eight types of words are classified according to what he showed the Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction and Interjection. But in this paper will only discuss about adjective only, in accordance with a predeterminedscop.

DISCUSSION

2.1 Definition Of Adjective

Adjective is a word used to describe a noun or proun which can be a person, place, animal, object or abstract concept.

2.2 Types Of Adjective

 Adjective are didided into eight types :

Qualitative Of Adjective

Qualitative adjectives are used to describe the quality of the noun being described.

she is a nice girl (dia adalah gadis yang manis)

my student is diligent (muridku rajin)

they are interesting (mereka menarik)

Quantitave Of Adjective

Is a form of adjective or adjective related to quantity or amount.

This coffee is enough for me (kopi ini cukup untuk ku)

Give me more explanation (berikan aku penjelasan yang lebih)

Numeric Of Adjective

Used to express the number but numeric adjectives use numbers such as one, two and so on.

there are ten students in this class (ada sepuluh siswa di kelas ini)

there is just one man in this room (hanya ada satu laki-laki di ruangan ini)

I need five friends in this tame (aku membutuhkan lima teman di tim ini)

Possessive Of Adjective

Possessive adjective is a form of adjective in English that states about ownership in English.

   Is he your bestfriend? (apakah dia sahabat mu?)

Are they your bestfriend? (apakah mereka sahabat mu?)

she is her mom (dia adalah ibumu)

Interrogative Of Adjective

Interrogative adjectives are used to modify a word in English.

whose is he? (siapakah dia?)

what is your name? (siapakah nama mu?)

which are your hobbies? (yang mana hobimu?)

what is your hobby? (apa hobimu?)

Demonstrasi Of Adjective

Demonstrative adjectives are used to indicate something.

That is my house (itu adalah rumahku)

those are my besfriends (mereka itu adalah teman baik ku)

this is my favourite food (ini adalah makanan favoritku)

3.1 Conclusion

In closing this paper, we also would like to say a thousand thanks to all colleagues who have helped a lot in the preparation of this paper. But besides that, there are still many shortcomings and far from being perfect, but we have all tried our best in making this paper. Therefore, we all really hope for all colleagues to provide criticism and suggestions, so that in making the next paper it can be better, as we expected.
