A.I  Definition Of The Fact

Facts are statements in the form of real situations from an event that occurred. Facts contain something that really exists and the statement of a fact is usually difficult for anyone to refute.

In a fact, one person to another must be the same because the incident is clear, undeniable and can be verified.

B.I  Feature Facts In Sentences

1. Have Accurate Data

In fact sentences, there is clear data in an event. In a sentence, the data can be in the form of statistical numbers, the date and time of the incident, or other things that have been verified. 

2. Objective 

What is meant by objective in the sentence of fact is that the statements contained in it are general in nature and have been acknowledged to be true by many parties, especially by official bodies or institutions. 

3. Really happened 

A sentence can be considered a fact if the statement in it describes a situation that actually happened. Really happened means someone can see it with their own eyes or hear the news reports from the authorities.

C.I  Example Sentence Facts

# The tiger is an animal with four legs. 

# Indonesia is an archipelagic country, consisting of 5 large islands, namely Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Irian Jaya and Java. 

# Sugar can make drinks sweet. 

# The pencil costs two thousand rupiah. 

# Oxygen is needed by humans. 

# The Republic of Indonesia became independent on August 17, 1945.

# Indonesian is the language of unity and the official language used in daily life. 

# The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

# Chickens and birds are included in the category of animals that reproduce by laying eggs. 

# In the body of the hedgehog there are thorns which are a tool to defend itself from attacks by other animals.

D.I  Characteristics Of Facts

1. Can be proven true 

2. Contains data that is quantitative (in the form of numbers) and qualitative (in the form of statements)

3. Have accurate data both time, date, place and event

4. Collected from trusted sources It is objective

5. Namely the actual data, not made up and equipped with object images

6. Usually can answer the question formula 5W + 1H

7. Stating events that are or have occurred and have occurred 

8. Information comes from actual events

A.2  Definition Of Opinion

Opinion is a person's attitude or opinion about a situation that has or has not happened. Opinion is strongly influenced by feelings, thoughts, perspectives, desires, attitudes, experiences, understandings, beliefs of each individual. 

Opinions between one person and another tend to be different because they are influenced by the mindset, knowledge, and environment in responding to a problem.

B.2  Feature Opinion In Sentences

1. Contain Personal Opinion 

In the opinion sentence contains many opinions from yourself or from others. In some cases, opinions are found in statements from well-known people so that they seem to be facts. In fact, that person's words are still only opinions that cannot be proven true.

2. Is subjective 

Almost the same as the first characteristic, the second characteristic of opinion sentences is that the statements presented in the sentence tend to be subjective. This means that the things stated are only according to one party so they cannot be said to be neutral. 

3.Having a Relative Adjective 

In opinion sentences, someone will tend to find words that are relative. The relative meaning here is that the word or phrase tends to change depending on who says it. Words that are relative include most, more, somewhat, or usually.

# Tomorrow I want to go abroad.

# The house is huge.

 # Indonesia is a beautiful country.

# The car is very fast. 

# Mother's food is very delicious.

# In the afternoon it will rain heavily with strong winds.

# The food will taste more savory if you add a little lemon juice.

# Roses are the most beautiful flowers compared to other flowers.

# Mathematics and English are subjects that are hated by many school students.

D.2  Characteristic Of Opinion

1. Cannot be proven true

2. It is subjective and usually accompanied by opinions, suggestions and explanations that explain

3. Does not have a source. 

4. Contains opinions about events that occurred

5. Indicates events that are not certain to occur or occur in the future

6. Represents the thoughts or opinions of a person or group 

7. The information submitted has no proof 

8. Usually marked by the use of the words: could be, it seems, maybe, should, should

ㅍ Difference Between Fact And Opinion ㅍ

A fact is something that actually happens. In a sense, the fact is a portrait of a situation or event. Therefore, the facts are difficult to be refuted because they can be seen, or also known by many parties. 

Facts may change if new, clearer and more accurate facts are found. While an opinion is an opinion that is not true. This personal opinion can be right or wrong.

The reason, everyone has their own opinion and different. An opinion can be said to be true if it is supported by strong and convincing facts.
